The Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees approved Rockwall ISD’s legislative priorities for the 89th Legislative Session that starts January 14, 2025.
The Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Jacob Payne at the principal of middle school #4. Mr. Jacob Payne has served Rockwall ISD as Associate Principal of Student Services and an assistant principal at Rockwall-Heath High School for the past seven years.
Rockwall-Heath High School honored more than 250 students for outstanding achievement in academics on Nov. 20, 2024. Students were recognized for their achievements in Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, National Merit and College Board, Superintendent Scholars, and Trustee awards.
More than $32,000 in innovative teaching grants were awarded to District educators for the 2024-2025 school year through the Rockwall ISD Education Foundation (REF).
For the second consecutive year, Rockwall High School has received the Silver level of distinction for the College Board AP School Honor Roll.

The 2023-2024 FCCLA Fashion Design students from the Dr. Gene Burton College and Career Academy placed in the Top 10 in the nation at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference held in Seattle, Washington.
Six Rockwall ISD art students have been selected by the Texas Art Education Association to display their artwork in the 2024-2025 TASA/TASB txEDCON Exhibition this month.
